These boxes are printed with all the relevant house rooms indicators for you to fill in to help identify which room in the house they need to go on the moving day.
On packing your items, if you are packing yourself be mindful. The weight of these boxes can be great, packing the larger boxes (Pack2s) with books for example would make the removals team on the day ask you to empty the boxes as this would be too heavy for the moving teams to carry.
The Smaller cardboard boxes used (Pack6) ideal for packing books, and foodstuff-tins, dried food, oils. Weights again is a relevant factor when packing any cardboard boxes. The use of these type of boxes for this job is fine, just fill them up.
These boxes are what we in the removals industry are commonly known as pack 6 and pack 2
Once used large cardboard removal boxes or cartons printed double walled are for sell to the public. These cardboard boxes or cartons are not a standard removals industry size cardboard box, slightly smaller than a pack 6 size box, still ideal for moving home, some print on the side of the box, without the relevant house room identification. Still can be used for all types of removals, again a recommendation is to use these boxes for lighter items.

To make the packing a little better, perhaps use parcel tape along the bottom on the leaves of the box (No need to fold the leaves of the cardboard box into each other) and then fill the box, and tape along the top. In our experience, taping the cardboard boxes this way helps in unpacking as you just get a knife and cut along the tape itself, and start unpacking.
Brown, white and clear vinyl type is sold at all different cost. The brown is the most common tape used on our removal’s cardboard boxes, we find it works well and sticks well.
Packing paper is sold in 5kg reams and 10kg reams. The average 3-bedroom house for a removals company to pack will take about 15kgs and around 45 cardboard packing boxes, and 3 rolls of tape.
It’s always a good practise to write on the tape once you have packed the cardboard boxes in permanent marker indicating which room and the contents of the box. Its noticed after the removals company has left the house, customers are trying to find things to start their new life in their new home.
We do offer free cardboard boxes to customers that need boxes for moving their home. These boxes are only available to customers that have booked a removal day and have paid in advance for their removals. The cardboard boxes once used, have to be returned back to us here in Blandford Forum. Recycle – Reuse
